TRAINING & ACCREDITATION

LIFESTART ACCREDITATION

Providing  an Accreditation system for the Training of those working with parents and children in the home settings is central to  Lifestart  policy.  

This highlights the value of working with parents within the home.
It also acknowledges the pivotal role of  parents as the prime educators
of their children.

The Lifestart Foundation is an Accredited Centre with the  Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and consequently  is in a position to offer ILM accreditation to staff members.  

Lifestart Staff are offered the following Accreditation routes:

Project Co-ordinators are offered a professional qualification in First Line Management at Level 3 while the Family Visitors are offered a professional qualification in Team Leading at Level 2.

Parents who undertake the Parenting Education Programme receive an Accreditation through the Open College Network at Level 1.

LIFESTART TRAINING

In order to ensure a good quality programme the Foundation offers training to everyone working within a Lifestart project – the Committee, the Co-ordinators, the Family Visitors, the Administrators and other Lifestart staff members.

Training is delivered, ultimately, for the benefit of the child.
