The core programme material, Growing Child, is an American publication. (www.growingchild.com).
The publishers have allowed the Lifestart Foundation to adapt this material for use in Lifestart projects.

To view a sample of the adapted material click on any one of the following links:

The purpose of adapting the material is to make it culturally appropriate to the localities in which it is delivered. The material has been adapted to suit different cultures, e.g travellers and Irish language speakers, and has been reviewed to ensure the inclusion of people with disabilities, people with literacy difficulties and fathers.

After a period of six months in receipt of the home-based programme, parents are invited to participate in group /cluster meetings with other parents. This provides them with the opportunity to further their own personal development and more recently to attain an accredited award (O.C.N Level 1).
