THE ROLE OF THE LIFESTART NATIONAL OFFICE
(Republic of Ireland)

The Lifestart National  Office (Republic of Ireland) is situated at Church Street, Sligo.  It supports the Local Lifestart  Projects throughout the Republic of Ireland.  The Local Lifestart Projects are autonomous parts of the wider Lifestart Foundation.

Each Project has a Board of Directors or Committee,  Co-ordinator, Administrator and Family Visitors.

There is a formal Affiliation Agreement between each project and the Foundation through the National Office. There is a formal contract between the National Office and the Foundation Office.

The Lifestart National Office carries out the following services in accordance with the terms of the formal Contract between the Foundation Office and the National Office:

On behalf of the Foundation enters into Affiliation Agreements with the Local Projects which allows the Local Projects to use the Lifestart name and materials. In collaboration with the Foundation Office the National Office terminates such agreements where necessary.

Creates and develops strategies, plans, policies and guidelines which reflect and give direction to the Lifestart Mission Statement in collaboration with the Foundation Office.

Researches, develops and refines the Lifestart curriculum subject to Foundation Office approval.

Provides training  and support to enable projects in the Republic of Ireland to deliver the Curriculum.

Ensures quality in the Lifestart Projects through regular reporting, monitoring and evaluation.

Promotes Lifestart nationally  through networking, lobbying and project development.

Ensures the application of appropriate employment and administrative practices and procedures.

Seeks financial resources to ensure sustainability of Lifestart Projects throughout the Republic of Ireland.
